Eddy Jackson

Walter Edward "Eddy" Jackson was born Feb 1, 1923 in Havana, Cuba to William Harold Jackson and Fina Forcade. He passed away on May 10, 2016.

He received his Doctorate in Law from Universidad de La Habana and practiced law in Havana for 16 years. In 1961 he was forced to flee Cuba and came to Houston, Texas to raise his family. Unable to practice his chosen profession, he joined Delta Airlines until his retirement after over 35 years later. He was also a certified interpreter, dedicating himself in his retirement to complicated technical translations and interpreting at all levels of court.

His greatest joy was his family, travelling the world, classical music and literature. He was very active in the Lion's Club, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Lillian and his Son Edito. He is survived by his children, Lillian Warden (Bill). Richard Jackson (Lisa), and Natalie Fleming (Michael), grandchildren, William, Travis, and Cameron Warden, Alexandra and Christina Jackson, and Shannon, Nicholas, Patrick, Mikey, Eamon, and Celeste Fleming, and his great grand children, Jacquelyn and Harris Warden.

Visitation/Rosary 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 and Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 both at St. Thomas More Church, 10330 Hillcroft
