In Memory of
Edith Marie Goble
-

Edith Marie (Shugart) Goble was born November 10,1931, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Hershel and Mamie (Williams) Shugart.  Edith's mother passed away when she was 2.  She was raised by her Aunt, Ada (Williams) Prewitt.  Edith passed away peacefully on September 11, 2017 at the age of 85.

She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Pasadena Texas. Edith endured a 20-year battle with Ovarian cancer. During that time she had several major surgeries and 6 rounds of Chemo therapy. She was always open to treatment. Her strength and dignity were derived from her unending trust in the Lord and her submission to His will in all things.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents Hershel and Mamie Shugart, her Aunt Ada Prewitt (who she called Mama) and her loving husband, J.Boyd Goble.

She is survived by 4 sons: Philip and wife Margaret, David and his wife Lana, Donald and his wife Jackie, and Thomas and his wife Susan. She loved all her grandchildren. They are Michael Goble and wife Kim, Heather Jones and husband Chris, Alan Goble and wife Tristyn, Randy Goble and wife Gail, Sarah Goble and boyfriend Shawn Gardner, Lee Goble, and Carly Goble. The great-grandchildren were really fun for her:  Taylore, Dustin, Allie, Tyler, Teagan, Olivia, Giuliana, Evelyn, Oliver, Alice, and Frank. She has one great-great-grandchild, Tanner Jones.

Mom loved life. Her motto was "Never Give Up". She never did.
