Kevin Emile Clarke

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Kevin Emile Clarke, 54, is survived by his “Queenie”, Monique Smith; his “Princess”, Camille; his father, Godfrey; his siblings Nigel and Kelly-Ann.  He is beloved by his stepdaughter, Erica and her daughter Harmony, his aunts June Vernon, Jaqueline Bertram and Rhona Clarke, his uncles, Herman Vernon and Neville Clarke and his wife Thelma.  His cousins Wayne and his wife Fern and their daughters Fara and Whitney, Gregory and his wife Elaine, Darryl, Nadja and her son Michael, Thaddeaus and his son Christian, Dean, Lisa, Warren and Shaun.  The loss of her first grandchild is felt by his 105 year old maternal grandmother, Eulalee Vernon.  Greeting him in the afterlife is his mother, Fayette, his brother, Vaughn and first wife, Rita. Grandparents Joyce and Luther Clarke, Sylvester Vernon, Aunts Carmen and Lilleth Clarke, Viviene Bryan and Uncle Winston Clarke.

Kevin came to Houston at 18 and attended Prairie View University.  No matter where he lived, the island spirit was always present in Kevin. He was the most free at the ocean and was always loving and generous with his time. While he may have been rambunctious in his youth, he had come to value the beauty of simplicity and found peace in his religious practice in both the Muslim and Christian faiths.  He was a hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit and having been a jack of all trades, he settled his energies into his love for cars.  His loving heart will be missed by the many friends that had become his family and all those whose lives he touched.

A visitation bill be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10:30AM with a memorial service starting at 11:00am at Beresford Funeral Service.
