Len Sacks of Katy, Texas was born January 9, 1930 in Dora, Alabama and passed away peacefully after a brief illness, January 30, 2017 with family members at his bedside. Len is survived by his loving wife Sue Lo, of Katy, Texas, a daughter Theresa Rohloff of Scott, Louisiana, and a son Robert M. Sacks of Redmond, Oregon and their families. Len is also survived by step-children, Dr. Asia Lo, of Texas, Charisma Lo, and Trent Lo of Kansas, their spouses, and many loving grandchildren and friends.
Len grew up in Miami, Florida and had sea salt in his blood. His passion for sailing took him and Sue from Ft. Myers, Florida where they met and married, to many countries, islands, and favorite haunts aboard their sailboat “Quest”. They found their special place to ‘drop anchor’, and on land, they continued their “quest” for adventure.
The love of Sue’s life, the man who could do so much, and did, has sailed his last voyage. Len was an amazing man: a US Marine, a sailor, a traveler, a businessman, an architect, an artist, and a builder. These were only a few of his many attributes. He will be forever missed.
Sail on my love!
