I was so sorry to see in the paper today that your mom had passed away. Our mothers were the best of friends through out their lives. As I look back over the pictures of "the gang", I'm so glad she had a close group of friend that stayed constant all her life. They had such fun together! Mama also adored your grandmother, who helped "raise" her through a period of time when she had no real home and was living with her aunt & uncle. Your mom's friendship meant the world to Mama. Their friendship endured school, careers, marriage, the war, babies, and the rest of their lives. What a tribute to your mom! My sister, Shirley, & I want to express our sympathy.
