It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my Mother, Mary (Kay) Searle, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Methodist Mansfield Hospital at the age of 90 years.

She was born in Cumberland MD and later moved to Charleston WV where she worked for over 30 years at the A & P as a bookkeeper.  She then moved to Florida and on to Houston and last worked at Briargrove Townhomes as an office Manager at the age of 88.  After that she moved to Mansfield to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter. 

Her wish was to be cremated and her ashes taken to West Virginia.  We will have a Memorial Service, informal gathering of friends and loved ones on July 22, 2017 between the hours of  9:00 am-12:00 noon @ Beresford Funeral Service, 13501 Alief Clodine Road, Houston, Texas   77082, phone # 281-933-9090.  In lieu of flowers please send a donation to American Heart Association in her name.

I am so sorry for your loss. Being sick, growing old, and dying were never part of the plans that God had for us. We were to live happy, healthy, lives forever. His purpose for mankind has not changed. At Revelation 21:4 we learn that soon everything that causes us pain and suffering, including death, will be gone forever! John 5:28, 29 also holds out the hope of seeing those we have lost in death, once again, here on earth. May you draw comfort in knowing this.

I lived next to Kay in 1992 for a few years. Since then my husband’s work has taken us many places. Now we are back in Houston. I was wondering why she had not written a Christmas note the past years. I just decided to look her up now. The sadness I feel for the lose of this lovely woman and my friend is tremendous .
