Norma Joyce Fluitt Milligan

    Norma Joyce Milligan died Monday, May 1, 2017, in Southlake, Texas.  She was born to the late Leland David Fluitt and Lillian Belle Dodd Fluitt on June 17, 1933, in Burnet, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Barth Milligan, Jr. and sister, Mary Sue Mallett.

    As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to her family and those she loved.  She was a member of the Texas Medical Association Woman’s Auxiliary and the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ.

    She is survived by two daughters, Janice Milligan of North Richland Hills, and Margaret Garrett of Lewisville; two sons, Patrick Milligan and wife, Patricia, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Timothy Milligan and wife, Melissa, of Dripping Springs; nine grandchildren, Melanie Wright and husband, Alan; Cayce Davis and wife, Tami; Meg Loyer and husband, Sean; Chad Sundbeck and wife, Monica; Cody Sundbeck; Matthew Milligan; Meriel Milligan; Aidan Milligan; Abby Milligan; fourteen great-grandchildren, Grayson, Garrett, Madilyn, Garison and Maguire Wright; Ailey and Alaina Davis; Luke Bunton; Brandon, Baylie, Bethany and Mia Sundbeck; London and Henning Sundbeck; one brother, Larry Fluitt and wife, Linda, of San Angelo; nieces and nephews.

As a devoted Christian mother, she leaves to her family a legacy of honor, love and faith.   

Pallbearers: Chad Sundbeck, Cayce Davis, Cody Sundbeck, Aidan Milligan, Matthew Milligan, Alan Wright and Sean Loyer.

Honorary Pallbearers: Brandon Sundbeck, Grayson Wright, Garrett Wright, Luke Bunton, Garison Wright, and Henning Sundbeck.

Services will be conducted at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 3:00 p.m.  Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of one’s choice.
