Oscar Oswaldo Mercado, 62, passed away on January 14, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Berlín, El Salvador on June 18, 1955 to Manuel Rafael Turcios and Coronada Mercado.
He is survived by brothers, Jose Rene Mercado and Angel Antonio Guido & wife Lucy; sisters, Vilma Edith Figueroa & husband Agustin Yepez and Carolina Anabella Castillo; Nephews, Humberto Figueroa Jr. & wife Jennifer, Vladimir Mercado & wife Mirna, Rene Guido & wife Delmi, Jader Lemus & wife Alba; nieces, Sindy Mejia & husband Edgar, and Jennifer Figueroa, among others; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews .
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Orlando Mercado; and his sister-in-law, Gloria Mercado Rivera.
Services will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. and the funeral at 12:00 noon.
