Rhonda Lynn Watts, "Cissie", 57, born October 15, 1960 passed away on March 30, 2018 in Sugar Land, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaylee Watts and fiancé Dalton Wheeler; her mother, Barbara Schomburg and husband Ted; sister, Karen Fairfield and husband Joe; brother, Richard Kiemsteadt and wife Debi; uncle, David Duewall; and nephews, Mark “Buddy” Compton, Jr. and wife Alissa and their son Aiden, Garrett Compton, Hunter Kiemsteadt and Austin Kiemsteadt. She is preceded in death by her father, Glen Edward Kiemsteadt, Sr.; sister, Sheryl Kiemsteadt; brothers, Glen Kiemsteadt, Jr., James Kiemsteadt and Michael Kiemsteadt; grandparents, Glen M. and Johnnie Kiemsteadt and Effie Duewall.
Rhonda graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in 1978 and went on to attend Alvin Community College and Tarleton State University, receiving the Paul Lawson and George Kennedy Scholarships. She had a love for theater and portrayed many characters in various theater productions throughout high school and college.
Rhonda was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend who cherished her family. She loved others with a sacrificial love and with her whole heart, never hesitating to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved being a mother to her daughter Kaylee, doing whatever she needed to do to make her happy. Singing songs
She was employed by EIM Controls in Missouri City from 1991 to 2009. Although her position was in Accounting, she never hesitated to step outside of her normal duties to assist her peers with whatever they may need. She loved her job, but it was the relationships she developed with the many people she worked with that she treasured the most.
Rhonda discovered the wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains on a vacation she took in 2005. The peace she felt there was so overwhelming that she was drawn there several more times, each time expressing that a piece of her heart remained in those mountains.
In September of 2009, Rhonda suffered a devastating hemorrhagic stroke that launched her into a long and difficult road to recovery. She fought hard and overcame many incredible obstacles that many doctors felt she wouldn’t. She acquired aphasia that caused her to lose her ability to communicate verbally but her years in theater proved to be a valuable asset as she was able to use that experience with expressive behavior.
In February, Rhonda faced yet another challenge after a surgery. Though the surgery was successful, she came down with pneumonia and went into respiratory distress. Being the warrior that she is, she fought hard to overcome, making much progress only to face additional setbacks. After six weeks of battle, her body became tired and the Lord called her home.
Rhonda loved the Lord and is now in His presence, experiencing the joy that is found in God’s eternal promises.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
