In Memory of
Ronald Joe Tremble
-

On February 8, 2017, Ron joined his bride and His Lord in the Kingdom of heaven. Ron fought the good fight his whole life, but when he lost his lifelong sweetheart, Peggy, this past March, his will for living diminished.  He was born on September 8, 1936 in Newkirk, Oklahoma, but he got to Texas as soon as he could and was a childhood friend of his wife to be in Borger, Texas. He was born to Joseph and Josephine Tremble.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his beloved brother-in-law, Allen Bryant and Allen’s wife, Margie. He is survived by his children, Dan, Rhonda, and Don, and their wives, Julia and Barbara, and his grandchildren, Codie Jo Hill and Ron William Tremble, and his step-grandchildren, Colin Gray and wife, Tiffany, Taryn Gray and Karye Maine and her husband, Bryan, and his beloved great grandchildren, Joseph Hill and William Henry, and the most recent, Sophia Elizabeth Gray and Jaxon Thomas Maine, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Phyllis Wilson and her children.

Ron was the family leader in many ways, but in particular, he led the family business, Clouse Wood Floors, for over fifty years with his bride at his side. Ron and Peggy shared the same office, a small bungalow in Spring Branch and one car for most of their life. Ron was known as “Pa” and his wife “Ma” by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. The only time he did not have Ma at his side, was during her choir practice. Though they enjoyed adventurous traveling earlier in their lives, in their later years, family, church and the family business were their life.

Ron was a very active member of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. He served as a ruling elder, a member of the building committee and famously as the chief “treasurer”, aka, the money counter and doughnut provider.

Ron will be buried next to Peggy at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas on Saturday afternoon, February 18th.  A Service to the Witness of the Resurrection and Celebration of the life of Ron Tremble will begin at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon, February 19th at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, 1215 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas with a reception for friends and family beginning immediately afterwards.

In place of flowers, Ron had requested donations in the name of his church, Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, where a Memorial Fund is being set up.
