In Memory of
Stacie LaVerne Washington

Stacie LaVerne Washington was born in Houston, Texas on October 21, 1969 and passed away in Houston on June 11, 2017.

She is survived by her common law husband Charles E. Steward; daughter Mianeeko N. Washington; father, Theodore Roosevelt Washington; and sisters Pleshette Byrd, Phyllis Byrd, and Tamiko Washington.

She received her GED/High School Diploma from North Texas Job Corps in 1985 with career training in Office Administration and as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant serving Houston Hospice (In Home Hospice Care) to ailing and disabled patients with life-limiting conditions, as well as various nursing homes throughout the greater Houston metropolitan area.   She was well beloved by her patients due to her penchant for going “above and beyond” the routines of providing nursing care.  Beyond nursing, she was a giving person who practiced helping others with a meek heart without asking for anything in return.  She will be truly missed by her family.

A memorial service will be held at Beresford Funeral Service on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:30AM.

Stacie Washington is my baby sister. She was a beautiful and loving soul. Her greatest wish was to bring her family together. She was consummate in her pursuit in uniting her family in order to have a strong foundation and devotion to each other. She believed in a kinder, gentler world. I will truly miss her beautiful soul wish shined so brightly, one would sum shades to look upon her. I love you Sweets.
