Isaiah Ryder Leal-Lugo passed away on April 30, 2024 in Houston, Texas. He was born on June 10, 2019 in Houston, Texas to Joshua Alberto Lugo and Savannah Kaylen Leal.
He is survived by his grandparents, Melisa Ballester & husband Oscar Lopez, Magdalena Perez & Gary Alan Perez, and Jose Lugo & wife Katrina Lugo; his brother, Leonardo; his aunts, Angelina Lopez and Roselyn Lopez; and his father Joshua. He is preceded in death by his mother Savannah.
Isaiah was born with many physical and medical challenges. Regardless the hardship he was always happy and fearless. He was smart, courageous, compassionate and a fighter. He melted our hearts with his smile and laugh. He showed us that a smile, a song, and love can do anything. His lion heart was too big for this world.
We want to thank Texas Children Hospital nurses, staff and doctors for all the great care and compassion they provided to our grandson during the multiple hospitalizations and treatments. Special Thanks to Dr. Nathalie Villafranco and Janelle OGaro, NP for being a great team guiding us and coordinating all his care increasing his quality of life. Thank you to all the Aveana nurses that care for Isaiah at home giving him the best care and quality of life. Special Thanks to the Nurses: Tessy, Marvin, Funmi, Olabisi, Caroline, Larry, Udoka, and Stephen. And also special thank you to Lorena for being kind and caring to Isaiah.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM and the funeral starts at 2 PM.
