Teodulo Ayala

Teodulo “Don Teo” Ayala, age 77, peacefully passed away on July 16, 2024, after a valiant battle with diabetes. Born on February 17, 1947, in San Sebastian, San Vicente, El Salvador, Teodulo was the beloved son of Reymundo Ayala and Juana Rivera.

Teodulo dedicated his early years as an honorable service member in the Salvadoran military, followed by serving as a police officer in the bustling city of San Salvador. During this time, in 1970, he met the love of his life, Dora. Their bond was instant, blossoming on their first date at a circus where they shared soda pop. Three years later, they welcomed their first child, "Lili," and seven years after that, their son, "Ray." Teodulo and Dora married on December 22, 1984, in Houston, TX, cementing a love that spanned decades.

A devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather, Teodulo leaves behind a cherished family: his wife, Dora Ayala; daughter Ana “Lili” Ayala-Bravo (Fausto Bravo); son Juan “Ray” Ayala (Diana Alvarez); brothers Cruz Ayala and Eulalio Ayala; sister Maria Ascension Ayala De Lobos; and grandchildren Michelle Robinson (Hollis Robinson), Jhonny Guzman, Antonio Bravo, Delilah Bravo, Justin Alvarez, Caryssa Ayala, Valeria Alvarez, and Pablo Alvarez.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bernaldino Ayala, Froylan Ayala, Francisco Ayala, and Tomasa Ayala.

A celebration of Teodulo’s life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Beresford Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by time for sharing and refreshments from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and funeral service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM officiated by Pastor Juan Antonio Blanco. Burial will take place after service at Forest Park Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Ricardo Naranjo.

Teodulo “Don Teo” Ayala, de 77 años, falleció pacíficamente el 16 de julio de 2024, después de una valiente batalla contra la diabetes. Nacido el 17 de febrero de 1947 en San Sebastián, San Vicente, El Salvador, Teodulo fue el querido hijo de Reymundo Ayala y Juana Rivera.

Teodulo dedicó sus primeros años de un honorable servicio en el ejército salvadoreño, seguido servicio como oficial de policía en la bulliciosa ciudad de San Salvador. Durante este tiempo, en 1970, conoció al amor de su vida, Dora. Su vínculo fue instantáneo, floreciendo en su primera cita en un circo donde compartieron una gaseosa. Tres años después, dieron la bienvenida a su primera hija, "Lili", y siete años después, a su hijo, "Ray". Teodulo y Dora se casaron el 22 de diciembre de 1984 en Houston, TX, consolidando un amor que abarcó décadas.

Teodulo, un esposo, hermano, padre y abuelo devoto, deja atrás una querida familia: su esposa, Dora Ayala; su hija Ana “Lili” Ayala-Bravo (Fausto Bravo); su hijo Juan “Ray” Ayala (Diana Alvarez); sus hermanos Cruz Ayala y Eulalio Ayala; su hermana María Ascensión Ayala De Lobos; y sus nietos Michelle Robinson (Hollis Robinson), Jhonny Guzmán, Antonio Bravo, Delilah Bravo, Justin Alvarez, Caryssa Ayala, Valeria Alvarez y Pablo Alvarez.

Lo preceden en muerte sus padres y sus hermanos Bernaldino Ayala, Froylán Ayala, Francisco Ayala y Tomasa Ayala.

Una celebración de la vida de Teodulo se llevará a cabo el lunes 29 de julio de 2024 en Beresford Funeral Service. La visita será de 10:00 AM a 11:30 AM, seguida tiempo para compartir recuerdos y refrigerios de la 11:30 AM a 12:30 PM, despues será el servicio funeral a la 12:30 a 1:30 oficiado por el Pastor Juan Antonio Blanco. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el cementerio Forest Park oficiado por el Pastor Ricardo Naranjo.
