Bonnie Bess Bonner Mitcham passed away on Saturday January 16th on her 56th wedding anniversary.
She was born on January 27, 1933 at home in Oak Grove, Louisiana and she was the 6th of 12 children.
She loved serving her family and others by cooking wonderful meals. If you came over on Monday, you would be blessed by her labor of love.
For 48 years she served at Woodhaven Baptist, Spring Woods Baptist and First Baptist church in ministering to youth, college, singles and as a greeter.
Bonnie Bess Mitcham is survived by her husband Emmett Mitcham; children Danny and Charmaine Mitcham, Keith and Karen Mitcham, & Linda Mitcham; grandchildren Troy Mitcham, Angie Nichols, Charli Baker, Jaime Hudeck, Beaux Mitcham, Rachel Mitcham, Brent Mitcham, Kristen Mitcham; 7 great grandchildren; brother Huey Bonner; sisters Dora Johnson, Peggy Wills, Sue Hargraves, & Tina Harper; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her parents C.C. and Ennie Bonner; sons Charles and Ken Mitcham; brothers Harvey, Pete, K.C., & Norwood; and sister Emily.
A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.
