He was a guy you felt good to be around and he had a good sense of humor. He came in late, left early and at lunch in between. RIP, my brother from another mother.

James Ray Hardzog Jr.
James Ray Hardzog Jr. “Jim” answered the Lord’s call home at age 57 on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017.
He was “Not your average Jim.” Laughter and his love of family and friends were his hallmark, along with a deep abiding faith in Jesus Christ. He married Darlene in 1988. He was well known for being late to everything and put off having children until Darlene said, “Tick tock, tick tock, it’s nowor never.” They were blessed with Savannah in 1999.
Jim was the son of the late James Ray Hardzog and survived by his loving wife, Darlene; his mother, Joyce; daughter, Savannah; sisters, Jane Anne Stokes and Martha Cotton; plus brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and gobs and gobs of friends.
Children knew that Jim was a kid at heart and always flocked to him. Among his many interests were his love of WWII history, everything Texas, political humor, turtles, trains, camping, fishing, bagpipes, Cowboy music and Rockabilly.
A celebration of Jim’s life and walk with the Lord will be held at Sugar Land Bible Church on Saturday, April, 29, 2017, at 11:00 AM. A reception with refreshments will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I would like to extend my condolences to Mr. Hardzog's loved ones, and share with them promises of comfort from the Scriptures. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. May you have peace in this time of sadness.
