In Memory of
Alice Hayton
-

Alice Francis Hayton, born in Bay City, TX, was a devoted wife to her husband of 49 years, Joseph Hayton. They were blessed with a son, Dane Hayton, and from him, two grandchildren, Dynisty Hayton and Daylen Hayton.

Her children and grandchildren have always been the pride and joy of her life. However, the extent of her children would not stop there. Over the many years of her sons’ basketball journey from student athlete to Coach, Alice would be known to be team mom, cheerleader and biggest fan to her son’s wife, Misty Hayton and many of her son’s friends, colleagues and students, who all knew her as “mom” or “gran”.  She gave endlessly to other kids, opening her home, providing meals, carpooling, supporting fundraisers and booster clubs. This was a tradition she carried on with her grandchildren as well, becoming a full-time volunteer throughout both their Elementary school tenures. Her former work colleagues all knew her to be the same way, being the most positive, supportive team player throughout her career in the Banking industry where she retired.

She had one of the most loving and close relationship with her only sibling, her sister, Barbara Douglas. Her and Barbara shared everything together and had a bond that only loving sisters share, and Alice always made an effort to make each day and moment with her sister count. Out of all the acts of kindness that we all knew Alice to show, we know that the most memorable act would be that of unconditional love.

She never forgot a person, a face, a name, a moment and today……. we will never forget Alice Hayton. We love you Mom (Gran)!
