Everardo Eli "Lalo" Alvarez, 38, passed away on February 6, 2022 in Katy, Texas. He was born on November 3, 1983 in Miami, Florida to Francisco and Delia (Garcia) Alvarez.
His passion was baseball. He started playing at the age of 4 and played all through Little League, High School, College, and into the Minor Leagues. His career was cut short by the condition that ultimately ended his life at such a young age.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 16 years, Lorena Sobalvarro Alvarez; his baby daughter, Eliza Marie Alvarez; parents, Francisco Alvarez and Delia (Garcia) Alvarez; brothers: Rolando Alvarez, Francisco Alvarez, Omar Alvarez, and Jashia Alvarez; sisters: Evelia Roman, Lleonor Alvarez, and Sonia Rivera; and his grandmother, Genoveva Chaves
He is preceded in death by his sister. Genoveva Alvarez.
Funeral Services are planned for Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow at 3 PM at Carmen Nelson Bostick Historic Cemetery (12317 Holderrieth Rd. Tomball, TX 77375).
