Horace Franklin “Frank” Greer, resident of Webster, Texas, passed away May 24, 2022, at the age of 89.  Greer was born March 21, 1933, in Tokio, Texas.

He married Virginia Williams in Lubbock, Texas, on July 26, 1957.  His career took him from lieutenant with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to engineering work with Convair in Fort Worth, Texas, and Convair Astronautics in San Diego, California, where he made drawings for the B-58 Hustler.  He then worked at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant near Denver, Colorado, for the next 27 years, first for Dow Chemical and then Rockwell International.  He served as a dedicated and well-studied Bible teacher to many teen and adult classes in Churches of Christ in California, Colorado and Texas.  His passion was teaching the book of Romans, and he was fond of the quote, “if you get Romans, God gets you.”

He is survived by his wife Virginia (Williams) Greer; his daughter Sherilyn Chisholm and husband J. Michael; son Don Greer and wife Laura Black; daughter Paula Plew and husband Timothy; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother James Greer and wife Connie, and brother John Greer and wife Gracie; and 4 nephews and nieces.

Greer was preceded in death by his parents Reagan Milton and Agnes Pauline (Jones) Greer.

A Graveside Service was held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10am at Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

We are saddened to learn Frank has passed away. We enjoyed our conversations on the Bible lessons we heard before our lunch dates. May the God of peace comfort you as you grieve your loss of such a giant gentleman.
