Song written by James - unfinished
I feel that I’m so far from You, Lord
But I still hear you callin’ me
Those simple things that I once knew
The memories are drainin’ me
Drainin’ me, oh,
I must confess, Lord, I’ve been blessed
But yet my soul is not satisfied,
Renew my faith, restore my joy
To dry me weepin’ eye
To dry my weepin’ eye
Oh, Take! Take me back, take me back,
Dear Lord, to the place where I first received you
Take me back, take me back, dear Lord,
Where I first believed
I’ve tried so hard, to make it all alone,
I need your help, Just to make it home
Oh, Take! Take me back, take me back…
Poem found in James’ Bible
Life is short and death is sure
The hour of death remains obscure;
A soul you have and only one
If that is lost all hope is gone;
Waste not time while time shall last
For after death it’s ever past;
All seeing God your judge will be
Heaven or hell your destiny;
All earthly things will fade away
Eternity alone will stay.
