James Douglas Robertson Sr.

James “Jim” Douglas Robertson, 82, passed peacefully on May 27, 2025, at his home in Houston, TX.   Jim was born in Corpus Christi, TX on September 30, 1942 to Arthur and Norma Robertson. 

Jim attended W.B. Ray High School, where he met his lovely wife, Charlotte Joyce Robertson. They were married for 60 years, and they had two sons, Douglas and Kent. The couple moved to Houston, Texas in the mid 1970’s to raise their family.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He retired after years at Fluor Daniels Corporation. During retirement he spent time wood working, meeting friends for breakfast, working on his classic car, and tinkering on various projects. Jim was an outgoing, kindhearted person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends and sharing stories. His sense of humor was evident along with his passion for life.

James Robertson is preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, sister and a brother.

He is survived by his two sons James “Douglas” Robertson, Jr. and Kent Alan Robertson, Charisse Mayer, his grandchildren Christina “Chris” Robertson, Samantha Robertson, and bonus grandson Zachary Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Beresford Funeral Service located 13501 Alief Clodine Rd. Houston, Texas 77082

Jim will be laid to rest next to Charlotte Robertson. The burial will be held at Seaside Memorial Park at 4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
