Joan was a protective "mother bear" to her children. She will certainly be missed.

Joan Becker
Beverly Joan Melton Sorenson Becker, 64, passed away on April 20, 2015 in Spring, Texas. She was born on June 27, 1950 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Charles Everett Melton and Margaret Hutsell Melton.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Becker & wife Tabitha, and Brian Becker; her grandchildren, Shannen, Reyna, Zamora, and
Orion; her brother Nick Melton & wife Sandra; and numerous, nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Dianne Horn, as well as her parents.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service and again on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10 AM. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday in our chapel. Burial will follow at Katy-Magnolia Cemetery.

Joanie had tough start. Mom & Dad had the RH blood factor, and Joanie visited the doctor every week her first year. Dianne and I rocked Joanie thousands of hours. God is rocking her now. If she loved you, count yourself lucky because she really loved you! Nothing could change that. We will miss her, but we will never forget her.

I am just now finding out about this sad news. I am so very sorry for your loss, Joan was the best. I had dinner with her, about five yeas ago, and we keep up on Facebook. My deepest Condolences.

I am just finding out about Joans passing now. I am truely so very sorry for your families loss. Joan was my best friend growing up and I lost contact with her over the years. I grew up in Taft Texas a little town outside of Corpus and that's where we met and became the best of friends. I have tried to locate her all through the years and sadly found her through facebook remembering Joan and as I looked further found her obituary. I'll always treasure our time growing up together. She will be missed. I regret never being able to find her and tell her how much I thought of her thru the years.
