In Memory of
Kelvin Eric Carney
-

Kelvin Eric Carney, born on September 10, 1969, in Lufkin, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 55. He was the beloved son of Kenneth Ray Carney and Wilhelmina Carney.

Kelvin was known for his friendly spirit and infectious jokes and laughter. He had a deep love for his family and friends, always putting others before himself. Even on his toughest days, he always had a smile for everyone. Kelvin showed kindness and charity to others without seeking recognition. He had a passion for his country, his religion, antique vehicles, music—especially R&B—and for all animals, with a special love for dogs, particularly one very special dog named Lukas.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Carney Jr., and his nieces and nephews: Candace & (Andrew) Carney Swan, Ellysa & Rene Carney Fuentez, Rachael & (Oscar) Carney Mendez, Aileen Carney, Ammon & (Emily) Carney, Carina Carney, and Marliece & (D'Andre) Carney Scavola, along with ten grand nieces and nephews & extended family, Eloy, Georgina, Priscila, & Gary Leyva.

Kelvin will be deeply missed and always remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing their lives with him.

A funeral service will be held at 65 Melbourne St, Houston, TX, 77022, on Saturday, November 2nd, at 11:00 AM. Reception will take place from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.

Rest in peace & enjoy the Bahamas in Heaven, Kelvin. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.

We first met Kelvin last July and he always had a joke for us. We continued to see him after we left the area as he would stop by and visit with us at the mission office. He always dreamed of helping others in a big way and for us he did. The love he showed to others and to animals will always be remembered. We will miss his smile but we know he is smiling now without all the pain.
