Ms. Leeann Clare Zoeller, age 70, passed away peacefully July 6, 2013.
She was born in Milwaukee, WI and attended Washington High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI and a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She started her career as a teacher and later worked for the Harris County District Clerk's Office, the Texas Workforce Commission, and Goodwill Industries. Leeann loved to play cards,
She had a rich wonderful life as a loving mother, friend, and civil servant. Her friends will remember her legacy of love, compassion and a warm sense of humor. Preceded in death by her father, Frank H. Zoeller, and her mother, Lucille Wasicek Zoeller, is survived by her daughter, Natalie (and Rodd) Hairston of Houston, TX, brother, Roger (and Cindy) Zoeller of Charlotte, NC, and sister Jean Zoeller of Los Angeles, CA, and by four adoring nephews and nieces - Grant Goeckner-Zoeller, Tanya Zoeller, Tyler Goeckner-Zoeller and Victoria Zoeller.
A remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Copperfield Estates, 16820 West Road, Houston, TX 77095, (281) 859-9911, with a brief service to begin at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow a private family service in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation by visiting www.pkdcure.org.
