It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mario Lanoue in Houston, Texas on Friday, September 03, 2021. Mario was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on August 30, 1952, and immigrated to the US as a teenager. Mario was an extremely resourceful, diligent, and hardworking entrepreneur who operated a successful electrical services business in Houston, Texas as a Master Electrician. Mario spent many years working overseas in support of the US Army Operation Restore Democracy in Haiti as well as US Army peacekeeping operations in the Balkans (Southeastern Europe).
Mario led a life of dedication and caring with happiness and humor that he freely shared with his family and friends. He spent many years as the caregiver for his elderly mother. His kindness and spirit will live forever in our hearts. Always a faithful friend, Mario had a generous heart of gold and helpful soul. May he find peace and joy forever and always in the presence of the Lord.
Mario was preceded in death by his father Edouard Lanoue. Those left to cherish his love and memories include his wife Magali Moise Lanoue and mother Cleante Brevil Lanoue. He leaves four brothers and three sisters to include Eddy Lanoue, Guiteau Lanoue (sister-in-law Elaine Lanoue), Pierre André Lanoue, Pierre Edouard Lanoue, Carline Lanoue, Marjorie Lanoue, Sherley Lanoue, along with his Goddaughter Dominique Angibeau and cousins Yvrose Colas, Gemil Elysée and Michaelle Elysée; a host of nieces, nephews, and every life he touched during his lifetime.
A private viewing was held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Beresford Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Houston, Texas on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 12:00 noon.
The Lanoue family is extremely grateful for all the love and support of friends during this challenging time. May God bless all of you.
