In Memory of
Patricia Dianne Donaho Scott
-

Patricia Dianne Donaho Scott, 83, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born January 16, 1943, in Pensacola, FL, to Mary Angela and Doss Donaho, living in Long Besch, CA before landing in Houston, TX.

A lifelong artist and creator, Patricia worked in a variety of mediums including paint, pen and ink, photography, and sculpture. With characteristic humility, she would call her creations "doodling" or "amateur," though those around her saw the immeasurable talent that she possessed.

But her greatest loves were the Lord and His Blessed Mother, whom she leaned on almost solely in these last years of her life. She practiced a variety of devotions, having a special affinity for the rosary, seven sorrows of Our Lady, Holy Face of Jesus and His Precious Blood.

Patricia is survived by her children, Deirdre Dickerson and her husband Glenn, Andrew Scott, Gregory Scott and his wife Alma; seven grandchildren, Zoe, Isabel, Olivia, Sofia, Lily, Xenia, and Vivienne; step-grandchildren Braylen, Adelaide and Zarina; and great-grandchild Frances. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents and her sister, Michele.

And though she was a self-described hermit, she built genuine community of Facebook friends, sharing her deep religious and political convictions with a dash of humor and irony.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on July 30, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Regina Caeli Parish, 8121 Breen Drive, Houston. Burial will follow at Brookshire Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Regina Caeli Parish.
