In Memory of
Quincy Alexander Davis
-

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Quincy A. Davis, 36, a devoted husband, father, and friend, who left us on August 19, 2024, in Houston, TX after a long illness.

Quincy was born on June 30, 1988, in Houston, TX to Doyle Davis and Cheryl Youngblood. He graduated High School in 2006 and shortly enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served our country for five years. He met Jessica Griffin in early 2015 and they brought their two children, Jayden and Melanie, into the world.

Quincy was a true family man, living his life with a devotion to his children and wife. His days were filled with joy as he took his kids to the park, the movies, and on long walks. Whether it was spending hours outdoors, cheering from the sidelines, or assisting with homework and projects, Quincy made every moment count. His enthusiasm for life was matched only by his love for his family, and he was a constant presence at every school event—from “Meet the Teacher” nights to award ceremonies and musicals.

In addition to his role as a supportive father, Quincy found immense joy in being an assistant coach for his son's soccer team. He dedicated countless hours to practices, instilling teamwork and perseverance in the young players he guided. His encouragement and patience left an indelible mark on the team and his own son, who will forever remember his father’s unwavering support.

Quincy’s passions extended beyond his family life. He delighted in reading, immersing himself in the world of literature, and had a particular fondness for all things Marvel. Whether he was playing video games or catching up on the latest Marvel film, Quincy embraced these interests with the same enthusiasm he brought to his family life.

Quincy’s legacy is one of profound love and commitment. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his beloved wife, his adoring children, and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service.  Visitation starts at 10:30 am and the funeral will start at 11:30 am.  Burial will follow at Houston National Cemtery at 1:30 pm.
