Sylvia Gomez

Sylvia Inez Gomez, 66, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Houston, Texas.   She was born in Houston on April 16, 1952 to Pete and Mercedes (Costilla) Gomez.

She is survived by her brother, Rodrigo Gomez; her sister, Stella Rivera & husband Mike; nieces & nephews: Monica Gutierrez & husband Isai, Michael D. Rivera, Bianca Rivera, and Jessica Rivera; and great-nephews, Isai, Michael, Aaron, Gabriel. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ruperto Gomez, and her sister, Stefana Jasso.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (9900 Stella Link Blvd, Houston, TX 77025), with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. and the Rosary at 10:30 a.m.   Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale Ave, Houston, TX)
