William “Bill” Rhett Howerton was born on January 4, 1939 to two proud parents, Josephine and William A. Howerton, in San Antonio, TX.
Bill and Sharon were married for almost 51 years. They have three wonderful children: Sharon H Limegrover (wife of Richard Limegrover), Kimberly A Calderon (wife of Manuel Calderon III), Staci L Yancy (wife of
Bill was a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of ’61. He proudly served as an officer in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He loved politics, his Aggie football, playing golf, riding Harleys, and exercising his 2nd Amendment right.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 3:00 pm, at Beresford Funeral Home,13501 Alief Clodine Road, Houston, TX 77082. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. All Aggies wear your Aggie shirts.
