Charles Sidney Hervey Jr., 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Hervey was born October 22, 1937, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He graduated from Texarkana, Arkansas High School in 1955, and received his Bachelor of Finance from the University of North Texas. Sid served in the National Guard and later lived in Denton and worked out the World Trade Center in Dallas as a salesman. He lived and worked in College Station, Texas and later returned to Texarkana where he was a member of First Baptist Church of Texarkana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hervey Sr.; mother, Christine Arrington Hervey; and one brother, Jim Hervey.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Christina Hervey of Colleyville, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Gregory and Meridith Cooney of Spring, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Reed and Becky Hervey of Texarkana; two grandchildren, Patrick Hervey and Olivia Hervey; a grandson on the way, Pierce Edward Cooney; three nephews and a niece.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Todd Hervey, nephew of Charles Hervey, of Circle J Cowboy Church of Texarkana, Arkansas officiating.
