Eugene Porter Waters

Eugene “Pete” Waters Jr. passed away peacefully on November 30, 2006 in Houston, Texas at the age of 60. He was born on February 12, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to Eugene Porter Waters Sr. and Lucille Harding Waters. He faithfully served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and retired as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves 75th Maneuver Area Command. Mr. Waters is survived by his beloved wife of seven years Marion Waters; son Stephen P. Waters; step-sons David Smith and Jason Smith; and brother Douglas Waters. Graveside services will be held Monday December 4, 2006 at the VA Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 with gate time being 10:45 am. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church, 2655 South Mason Rd., Katy, TX 77045 on Monday December 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers Mr. Waters requested that donations be made to the Building Fund in care of Grace Fellowship UMC.
