Mrs. Hill was a dear, sweet, and gentle lady. Her energy was amazing. Our group is so lucky to have had her as a lifelong member and to have her as our "chapter mother." I adored her and loved sitting near her at meals and at meetings. Her kind ways and sweet disposition will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Hill was a treasure and a gift from God to me. I met Mrs. Hill on January 21, 1974 when I started working in the Harris County Clerk's Office. She was the Assistant Director of the Personal Records Department and she trained me in all the duties of the department. She took pride in her job and was an excellent supervisor and mentor to me. When I retired from the County in September 2006 as supervisor of Personal Records, Mrs. Hill came to my retirement party. It was such a blessing to have her come to share this time with me. I will always hold a very special place in my heart for Mrs. Leahbelle Hill. She always wanted the best. I remember her enjoying her morning break at 9:15 a.m. to go to Lindsey's to get that "biscuit and coffee" special that they served. She also made sure that the work in the department was always done correctly. I have always thanked God for gifting my life with an angel--MRS. LEAHBELLE HILL!

Sharon,Vicky,Carl and families,

Your Mom was a wonderful woman who obviously valued family. She set a wonderful example for all of you. I have always admired how you all treasured your mother. That spoke wonderful of her. I think I can speak for the rest of my family in saying we all grieve for Aunt Lea right now but know she is in a place of no pain. As Sydney would say "she is flying with the angels." Rhonda
