Yvonne Chevriere

Yvonne Marie Chevriere, age 101, was born May 7, 1917 in Allineuc, France.  Yvonne was a long-time resident of Philadelphia, PA but, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sugar Land, TX.

Yvonne married the love of her life, Jean Germain Pierre Joseph Chevriere. The couple were so happy to have found each other and lived everyday happily as if it were their last day together.  Yvonne was one of the sweetest most caring people you will ever meet.  She was the kind of person who never said a negative thing about anyone and lived life joyful by loving everyone around her.  Yvonne and her husband Jean were devout Catholics who belonged to Holy Innocents Parish in Philadelphia, PA.  They spent much of their free time volunteering and giving to the church.   

The couple instilled their Catholic values as they helped raise 5 of their grandchildren from their daughter Rose Marie Chevriere Mitchell; Jeffrey Chevriere Mitchell, Nadine Chevriere Bayly, Erin Chevriere Oelking (Godchild), Lauren Chevriere Goodman and Nicole Chevriere Easley.  There are too many people to mention who Yvonne touched and had a tremendous effect on.  Additional family include; Yvonne’s Step-Son Jean Paul Chevriere and his daughter Maryse Chevriere; Step-Daughter Marcelle Chevriere Dibiasi and her daughter Marcelle Dibiasi.  Family living in France include Yvonne’s sister Anna Collins (HAMON), Madame Daniel Chevriere, Alexis Chevriere, Corinne Quignard (CHEVRIERE), and Claire Courquex (CHEVRIERE).  

All family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church at 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail Houston, TX 77079 on August 28, 2018 at 10:30am.  Burial Service will follow some time after in France.  The family will be given at least 30 days notice of the burial service details.
