Al was always so friendly to Bernie and me when we got down to Violet. His faith impressed us. Jan, you have joined that big sisterhood of widows. If I can ever do anything, please let me know. OA
Your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers. I was blessed to know and study with Al. He loved his family, respected all he met, served his God and his church, and helped many of us in our own growth. He is blessed and he will be missed.

Jan and family, we were saddened to hear of Al's death. We recall so many happy times as Al and Zula were in the same class at Robstown High School and shared band together and we have met together since at numerous class reunions. Al was always smiling and full of life! We send our deepest sympathy to you, Jan, and the rest of the family at this time of loss. May God hold you in His Arms and comfort you.
Al Hoelscher and his wife, Jan, hosted many Marriage Encounter Circles at their home in Violet in the late 1970's. Al shared his love for his family and the music of of John Denver. Now Al can hear John Denver sing up in Heaven. Rest in peace, Al. Jan take comfort in knowing you were so loved by this man. Know that he's preparing a place for you.
