Chinnamma was born on May 14, 1949 as the eldest of the four children born to the late K. I. Chandy and Lillykutty Chandy Kavanal House, Mazhukeer, Kerala, India. She has 2 brothers, the late Mr. Joy C Kavanal married to Sherly, and Sha Kavanal married to Molly. She also has a younger sister Jolly married to K.U.Thampy.
She married Kalathil Skariah Joseph in April, 1970 and had 2 boys, Alex and Skariah. She immigrated to USA in 2003 to Yonkers, New York. In 2010, she relocated to Houston, Texas where she stayed until her death on May 13, 2021. She also leaves behind her grandchildren- Joshua, Hannah, Chinnu, Ann and Zachariah.
Service will be on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. John's Knanaya Church, 802 Brand Ln, Stafford, TX 77477. The first viewing/visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., then the funeral will start at 9 a.m. A final viewing/visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Historic Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 N. Main Street, Houston, TX 77009.
