In Memory of
Christine Dawn Bencivengo
-

Christine Dawn Bencivengo left this earth to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016. Christine was a courageous warrior defeating cancer three times in her lifetime only to succumb to other complications.

Christine was born on June 19th, 1970 to her loving parents Ronald and Christine Aiossa. She was the most caring mother to Samantha Dawn and a loving wife to her husband Dominick.

After graduating Langham Creek High School in 1988 she received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Houston in 1993.

During her time here she was a staunch supporter for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and helped many through their battles with cancer. She was softball mom and thoroughly enjoyed watching her daughter Sammy participate in numerous sports. Her family was her life. Christine was a kind adventurous person that was always there to help others. Everyone that knew her could easily call her friend.

She enjoyed traveling, arranging day trips, arts and crafts and being totally involved in everything she became a part of.

Christine is survived by her loving husband Dominick and her precious daughter Samantha. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Helen and Henry Wosczyk and her paternal grandparents Margie and Nick Aiossa. She is survived by her parents Christine and Ronald Aiossa and her beloved brother Thomas. She also leaves behind her devoted in-laws, Josie and Dominick and her brother-in-law Darren and his wife Jennifer, niece Ashley and nephews Andrew and Austin. She will also be deeply missed by numerous loving relatives and friends.

A Rosary and Visitation will be held Thursday February 4, 2016 at 10:30AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (6646 Addicks Satsuma Road Houston, TX 77084) followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM.

Heaven has truly gained an amazing angel. Christine has always been a picture perfect example of a wife, mother, friend and survivor. We never saw her without a smile on her face. May God bless the Bencivengo family.

My first memories of Christine was of her and her brother Thomas living in Sayreville New Jersey. Her dad Ronnie and my husband are first cousins. We lost touch with the family until 4 years ago on Facebook were I was so touched to see how Christine had grown up into this beautiful young woman, a wife and mother who adored her family. I am so truly happy that we reconnected after all those years and I got to know what a beautiful human being Christine had become. I am so truly sorry that her Life was too short here on Earth. But in my heart I know that this is just a stepping stone to going Home and that one day she will be reunited with all who loved her. My heart aches for all of her love ones she left behind and I will continue to pray for Christine and for all she held dear to her heart until they are reunited one day. God Bless sweet Angel Christine

Christine you were an inspiration to me when I needed it most if not for you I never would have had the courage to fight my cancer. You showed me that if you put your trust in God cancer doesn't have a chance to beat you down. Even as I was waging my battle at the time you were fighting your own battle, you still were worried for my wellbeing.
You were so selfless and a beautiful inspiration to me. I know why God put you here for a brief time; it was to touch mine and Cam's lives with your beautiful smiles, faith, and friendship. You will be sorely missed I will think of you everyday and keep you and your beautiful family in my dailey prayers.

Christine and Dom have been neighbors for about 16 years. Have had many dinners with precious neighbor,we had a good time at their country some outside the city too! Had a great time!

Christine and I always traded magazines and the fondest was catching up In The middle of the street b for we saw Dom pull up!!

She was a wonderful watchdog for my husband who was battling cancer . She watched him like a hawk ! So I knew when I needed to come home or she could take care of the situation .
We have lost both those great partners with in weeks of each other and we are doing the best we can at this point. The Lord is on our side and he will lead us.
I miss our street chats and I just miss Christina.

Christine and Dominick showed what true love is. I have called them friends since high school. Christine was the epitome of a strong, sweet, sincere and loving person! Her dear husband is equally as strong and kind and I know he, and their daughter, will miss her more than words can describe.

I pray, Come Kingdom of God upon the Bencivengo family in this difficult time. Be done will of God in their lives. Surround them with Your comfort and grace as only You can.

I ask that anyone who sees this also raise this precious family up in prayer. Continued prayers of healing for Mrs. Aiossa as well as she recovers and then has to cope with the loss of her loving daughter.

Christine, you have brought so much joy and happiness to all that you have met. You were an inspiration to us all. A wonderful wife, great Mom to Sammy and the best of fried to Marvin & me. I know this only so long for now because we will be together again. Who knows having pierogi's and sauerkraut. We have so many memories that Marvin & I hold close to heart of our times with you, Dominick & Sammy.

God needs you know and I know you will be looking done on us all. We love you So long and we see you again some day.

I met Christine in Called To Be Mom (the "moms' group") at Epiphany when our girls were much younger (probably when Sammy and Elise were about 5 or 6). We got to know each other over the years, and I was always encouraged by the joyfulness she carried inside her. She was always open about her battle with cancer, and believed fiercely in the power of prayer, so she was continually asking our moms' group to pray when her testing times came up. I saw how courageously she battled cancer the last time, and was so impressed, grateful and happy when she defeated it yet again. Then this past year, we started doing NCL things together, and I got to know Christine even better. What a loving, caring, and generous heart of gold she had! And she was such a "take-charge, plan-ahead, get-things-accomplished" kind of gal. She always wanted to do things early (not a procrastinator like me), and we hosted the September NCL Ticktocker meeting together - a small but satisfying feat. We did some other volunteering together, and we even went shopping together before Christmas! (Christine, way more frugal than I - LOL!) I'm so sad about her passing, as I will really miss her, my NCL and Catholic mom buddy. Such a lovely, bright, dynamic woman. I'm sure Sammy will grow up with many of these qualities of her mom, and I'm terribly sad Sammy won't have her mom here in person. But she will always have the wonderful legacy of strength, love, faith, courage, compassion, and generosity of spirit that her mom left behind. Truly Christine was an amazing person. Dear Christine: May God bless you in your new home with Him. May God watch over your family here on earth and hold them gently and lovingly in the palm of His Hand. May they carry on your legacy of love, life, and joyfulness as time goes on. And may they fill the hole in their hearts with the love of Christ that you so wonderfully embodied. God Bless You, Bencivengo Family.

I will always remember Christine who was so full of joy. She always seemed to demonstrate that you can put your best foot forward no matter what the challenge. She was such a strength and inspiration to so many; even those who never got a chance to let her know.

Memories of Christine and her family are still very clear in my mind. We lived next door to each other in Houston and went to high school together. I will always have these fond memories of a wonderful soul that left us too early. She will be greatly missed, but there is comfort in knowing that she is an angel in heaven now. God bless the entire family in this very difficult time.

Love,

Eddy and family

Heaven has gained a beautiful angel and one that we will always remembered as our very first neighbors. That being said, you weren't just a neighbor but a friend and I'm so glad we were able to reconnect again with NCL. You will be truly missed by so many but I feel so blessed to have had the chance to have you in our lives.

The news of my dear friend passing was bitter sweet. I will miss your compassionate spirit and loving ways. Her friendship throughout our lifetime was so special. Through Jr. high, high school, her in college, me in the military. Her by side at my wedding. I have wonderful memories of us and will cherish them all. Prayers for Dom, Sammy, her parents and Thomas. May God keep you in His perfect peace.

Christine,
My heart aches that you are gone from this Earth. You were my hope and inspiration to beat cancer. You unselfishly gave of yourself as a cancer warrior to help those facing cancer. I will always remember all the NYEs at your house and I am especially grateful that you accompanied me to MD Anderson his past November. I will always remember that day. I will certainly miss you. I pray that you are at peace. Until we meet again...RIP ❤️🙏
