In Memory of
Constance Beresford Hastings
-

Constance Beresford Hastings, born July 27, 1939, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2026.

Constance was born in Bushnell, Illinois, to Paul Beresford and Virginia Oblander Beresford. She was the oldest of three children, with brothers John Beresford and Charles Beresford. The family eventually moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where Constance graduated from Arlington Heights High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Methodist School of Nursing.
In 1962, Constance married Fred Hastings. Together, they were blessed with two wonderful sons, Bradly Scott Hastings, born in 1964, and Brett Andrew Hastings, born in 1967. Her sons were a source of great love and pride throughout her life, and she cherished them dearly.

Connie spent her life caring for others. She was a devoted Registered Nurse for more than 50 years and found great purpose in serving her patients. She loved the patients, doctors, nurses, and co-workers with whom she worked alongside throughout her long career. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine love for people touched countless lives.

At the time ofher passing, Connie was a member of Joshua Methodist Church. Her church family and friends were a driving force in her life. The friendships she made there were deeply meaningful to her, and she treasured each person who became a part of her life.

Yet perhaps her greatest and most cherished role was being NeNe. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her tremendous joy, and she loved every moment she shared with them. Being a grandmother and great-grandmother was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Connie is survived by her son, Brett Hastings and wife, Kelly; grandchildren Brandon Hastings and wife, Hailey; Bryan Hastings and wife, Olivia; Bradly Hastings; and Ava Hastings; and great-grandchildren Major Hastings and Bryce Hastings.

She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Carson Cole and wife, Caitlyn; and Cooper Cole; and step-great-grandchildren Cash Cole, Cambrie Cole, and Hailynn Cole. Connie is survived by her brother, John Beresford and wife, Beverly; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Virginia Beresford; her brother, Charles Beresford, Sr.; and her son, Brad Hastings.

Many friends will mourn the passing of Connie, a woman whose kindness, love, humor, compassion, and friendship meant so much to so many. She spent her life caring for others, and that love continued until the very end.

At Connie's request, there will be no memorial service, as she understood that family and friends, both near and far, may not be able to travel. Her greatest wish was simply for those who loved her to remember her and carry her memory in their hearts.

And in true Connie fashion, even in her final days, she was still thinking of and caring for those she loved dearly.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, nurse, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and woman of faith. Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
