Emily Roberta Lambert, 89, passed away on February 3, 2014 in Houston, Texas. A native of Texas, Bobbie was born on August 24, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. George Avery, Jr. in Liberty, Texas.
At age 18 she married Donald Nathan Lambert. Together they had a daughter, Celia Renee. She and Don were married for 65 active years. They spent much time singing in the choir at church, playing golf, traveling and enjoying granddaughters, and great
grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and hostess with their home being the hub of activity for friends and family. She had many friends and spent her later days beading and playing bingo as well as encouraging new residents to join her in her favorite activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Celia Renée Lambert Jumonville; grandchildren, Jennifer Renée Jumonville McCleskey and husband Scott Adair, Erin Nicole Jumonville McClesky and husband Douglas Michael; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Dean McCleskey, Matthew Adair McClesky, Meagan Renée McCleskey, Avery Bryce Anders, Ryland Chase Anders; and her sister, Pauline Adele Robicheaux.
She is preceded by her parents and her husband, Donald Nathan Lambert.
Services are scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2014 at Second Baptist Church (6400 Woodway), Hankamer Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with the funeral at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow. The interment will be at 1:30 PM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery (13001 Katy Freeway).
