To the Guinn family, I regret being out of town this week and missing the news of Gene's passing and his funeral.

Gene was a life and professional mentor to me in the years I worked with him at Tellepsen Construction. I can't tell you how many times when dealing with an issue that I've thought back to how Gene might have handled it. His even temperament and well thought out decisions were such great examples. He was so highly regarded professionally and I was honored that he considered me as a friend.

He will be in my memory forever.

To the Guinn family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss
of your father. He was a fine man. He and my husband
were school buddies and kept in touch for many years.
I met Gene and Shirley many years ago. We enjoyed
meeting Gene and Shirley for dinner.
Just know that he and Shirley are together again and
happy.
