In Memory of
Hubert Lee Hart "Abear"
-

Hubert Lee Hart, "Abear", 70, went to heaven peacefully at his home in Spring, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Henry Orlando Hart and Chloie (Pouland) Hart as the next to youngest of 4 boys.

He graduated from Spring High School and soon after, met the love of his life, Gilda Beth Gill. They married almost 50 years ago on August 25, 1972. He began a career in sales, selling everything from tooling and manufacturing machinery to tactical vehicles to the armed forces. Once he delivered a live rooster to the desk of a particularly difficult customer getting an immediate appointment with the man. He always said he could sell anything, but his best sales job was to his wife, Gilda.

He was a long-time member of Spring Woods United Methodist Church where he ushered and taught the College and Careers class for several years. He was also a member of the Wesleyan Sunday School Class.

Abear was a 40 plus year member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a Calf Scramble Committeeman spending numerous hours volunteering for the youth. He was also a proud member of Delta Alpha.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time under the stars around a campfire telling hunting stories and tall tales. He enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and extended family.

He was a founding member of The Rough Riders Motorcycle Riding Club and the president for the 1st couple of years. One of his great joys was riding through the beautiful backroads of this country with his fellow riders enjoying the brotherhood. His bright smile, sparkling eyes and keen wit lit up every room he entered. He was well loved by his family and his friends. As he always said, "I'm here for a good time not a long time," and he lived that out to the end.

He is survived by his wife, Gilda Beth Hart, their children, Corey William Hart and Kelcie Leigh Hart (Seamuis Strain), grandchildren Natalie Beth Hart, Hayes William Hart, Chloie Saoirse Strain, two brothers Richard Hart (Monika) and Dennis Hart (Nona), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Hart, Magee, Oates, Singleton Cemetery at 1pm.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced at Klein United Methodist Church on FM 2920, with times to be determined.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Klein United Methodist Church (5920 F.M. 2920, Spring, TX 77388) on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM.

Hubert and I went to Houston Gardens Elementary and were in the same class and then on to McReynolds Jr and then Furr High.
I just remember him being a nice boy.
So sorry the family’s loss.
