Renato Munguia Gómez

RENATO “GUERO” MUNGUIA GÓMEZ; 81 years, born in Monterrey, N.L. MÉXICO on March 22, 1941, was called home after a long battle with cancer on September 4, 2022. His daughters Susana and Brenda were at his side till the end. 

Renato was a man of faith, our strong foundation, hard working, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was deeply loved and will be missed immeasurably. 

Renato retired after 44 years from the Hotel Industry in 2020. 

Renato married the love of his life Maria J. De Munguia, in December of 1966 who preceded him in death in 2014. 

Renato is survived by his children Susana Munguia, Alejandro Munguia and Brenda Neeley (Les), daughter-in-law Gina Munguia, grandchildren Ruben Munguia, Jr., Jonathan Munguia (Zindi), Steven Munguia, Dannielle Lopez (Gabriel), Renata and Karina Munguia and Katherine Neeley, and great grandchildren Izabella, Harley and Jonathan, Jr. Munguia, Angelina, Aliah and Arabella Lopez. Siblings Ramon and David Munguia and Mary Munguia de León. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria J. deMunguia; his son, Renato Alberto Munguia Jr.; and his grandson, Matthew William Neeley.

Services are scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service.  Visitation will begin at 10 am and the funeral at 11 am.  Burial will follow at 1 pm at South Park Cemetery (1310 N. Main Pearland, Texas, 77581).
