Anita Warrene Nelson Drew, of Cypress, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 18, 2014. Warrene gave of her love unconditionally and was an example of strength to us all.
She was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, on November 22, 1944, and is preceded in death by parents James and Talitha Nelson and sister Kathy Nelson Gates.
Warrene is survived by David Sandoval and her daughters Stephanie Drew MacDowell of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Carrie Denise Caviness and husband Jason of Robinson, Texas; four beautiful grandchildren: Kristopher and Kiersten MacDowell of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Drew and Hope Caviness of Robinson, Texas; brother, Jimmy Nelson and wife Patty of West Monroe, Louisiana; nieces Whitney Gates Cate and Leslie Gates Nunn of Minden, Louisiana; and nephew Jay Nelson of Brandon, Mississippi.

a long time resident of Houston, Texas. She was employed by Halliburton for 34 years. Precious mother, Nana, sister, and friend, she cherished spending time with her family and shopping with her daughters. Warrene was an avid reader and beautiful pianist with a gift for music. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and found joy in their activities and their laughter.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Warrene will be missed at the office(Halliburton). I will also miss our talks about our grand-children. Thinking of you and your family during this time.

Warrene! no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God truly knows why.

Warrene was the most kind and considerate person I've met while working at Halliburton. She somehow managed to do her job so well but you knew when she was out because we'd be panicking trying to get stuff done. She always wore a smile and was fun and well-respected and loved by all those who knew her. I'll miss seeing her walking around smiling at this campus. There are no words that can express the feelings. Warrene was a great lady. She always had a smile and good things to say when I was around her. She will be missed by many. The heavens have received a great angel.
I was very saddened to here about Warrene's passing. She was a great caring and helpful individual and will be sorely missed by many. Warrene and here Family will be in our prayers.
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our friend of more than fifty years. We will always remember her beautiful smile and her quiet grace that was the embodiment of her personality. She was a true friend in every sense of the word.
So shocked and saddened to hear of Warrene's passing. It's been over 10 years since I worked with her at Halliburton. What a classy and kind hearted lady. We have often laughed about how a visit from Warrene and David would put an end to any drought we might be having in Arizona. Meeting Warrene through our good friend and her daughter Stephanie, was something we will always cherish. She showed us how to be a loving mother and grandmother.
Please know that your many friends will help you carry the grief of his tragedy while also celebrating the good news that Jesus shared and demonstrated...death is the opposite of birth...but life has no opposite. Praying that God wraps his comforting arms around your family as you say "goodbye"...for now.
Warrene was such a wonderful caring person. I will miss not seeing her in the hallways and the occasionaly chat. She will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers and with you and your family.
Warrene will be missed greatly. We talked about our grand-children and our kids regularly. Warrene had actually been with Halliburton going on 37 years; she started a year before I did. She was looking forward to retiring next year. My prayers go out to the family during this time. I have been where you are today. Only time will ease the pain.
