Aileen Bernice Haislup, 1921-2011, 89 years of age, passed away June 29, 2011 at Memorial Hermann, Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born October 23rd, 1921. She weighed only 1 1/2 pounds at birth, her mother and sister had to hold her feet and hands to keep her warm. She was the youngest of 4 children. She is survived by her daughter Sharon and her husband Roger Goembel of Houston. Other survivors are grandchildren Amy Kirwin of San Marcos, Texas and Quinn Goembel of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Conor Kirwin, Aidan Goembel, Riley Kirwin and Shea Kirwin.
She was highly interested in art, painting, ballet and clothing design. She worked many years as a hair-dresser and stayed active in a local church.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Hosanna Church on 17700 Clay Road, Houston, Texas.
