I remember the summers that I used to spend with my grandparents in East Texas as a child. "Granny" was Gayle's Aunt Frances or "Aunt Fanny" as she called her. Gayle loved to work in Granny's ceramic shop and they would use me as their helper. I spent many hours over many summers and weekends helping them pour and clean greenware. Over time I became close to "Donnie Gayle" as the family called her. One of the things that I really loved about her was her no nonsense, take no crap from anyone, approach to life. You always knew exactly where you stood with Gayle. She would tell you like it is and you never had to worry about her bad mouthing you behind your back, she was always very forthcoming. She also had an excellent sense of humor and would keep you laughing! Over the years, life happened and the years flew by and I didn't see her for many, many years. I'm fortunate that I got to see her recently at a family reunion in March 2011. Goodbye old friend. You will be greatly missed!

I am so sorry to read about the loss of Mrs. Gayle. She was so loved. May you allow these words to comfort you during such trying times. "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them.  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:3,4
