L. D. started his new life with the Lord on Sunday November 21st while surrounded by his family. His past months were difficult and in spite of his dementia and pain, he took every opportunity in a waking moment to be the first to say “I love you”.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Nell and his four children and their families: Louis & Stephanie, children Chris & Lacey & Kimberly; Kathy & Jerry, children Tiffany and Todd, Valerie; Janet & Butch; Clay & Glenda, children Brad, Jeff, Christopher & Lindsey, 3 great grandchildren, Nathan, Ethni & Shiloh and many friends whom he made his heart family; specifically Art & Sarah Troscher.
L. D. was the only child of Edna Harris Kruger and Lorenzo Dow Kruger, Sr. and was born in Del Rio, Texas. His young years were spent growing up in Uvalde, Texas. After graduating from High School, he served in the U.S. Army Calvary in the China-Burma-India Theater during WW2.
Dad was a salesman by vocation and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved people and never met a stranger. Our father was a character; kind-hearted, generous, a dreamer, and someone who valued family and integrity.

Your patience, especially when aging wasn’t so graceful, and the respect you always provided, was a wonderful blessing to him and his family.
