Ricarda, conocida como Ita. Nacio el dia 7 de Febrero del 1928 en la ciudad de Guayama, Puerto Rico y fallecio el dia 25 de Julio del 2012 a la edad de 84 años en la ciudad de Houston, TX. Le sobreviven sus tres hijas, Noemi Velazquez Ferrer Rios, Yolanda Velazquez Ferrer Torres, y Gloria Ma. Velazquez Ferrer. Tuvo el privilegio de tener 9 nietos, 7 bisnietos, y 14 tatara nietos. Sus padres fueron Simona Santiago Ortiz de Guayama, Puerto Rico y Regino Ferrer

El Jueves 2 de Agosto, habra visitacion desde 11:00 AM 12:00 PM. en la capilla de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de Los Santos de Los Ultimos Dias ubicada en el 602 Eldridge , Sugar Land, TX Siguiendole un servicio memorial de 12:00 PM a 1:15 PM.

Ricarda, known as Ita was born on February 7, 1928 in Guayama, Puerto Rico and died July 25, 2012 at the age of 84 in Houston, TX. She is survived by her three daughters, Noemi Velazquez Ferrer Rios, Yolanda Velazquez Torres and Gloria Maria Velazquez Ferrer. She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grand children and 14 great-great grandchildren. She is the daughter of Simona Santiago Ortiz de Guayama, Puerto Rico and Regino Ferrer Hernandez of Salinas, Puerto Rico.
Beresford Funeral Home, located at 13501 Alief Clodine Rd., Houston, TX will transport her body to her home in Houston on Wednesday, August 1st for the wake. On Thursday, August 2nd viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 602 Eldridge, Sugar Land, TX followed by a memorial service from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm.
Beresford Funeral Service will assist with transportation to her homeland in Salinas, Puerto Rico. A Visitation and service will be held at Salinas Memorial Funeral Home, Salinas, Puerto Rico. She will be laid to rest at the Salinas Cemetery, Salinas, Puerto Rico.
