In Memory of
Roy Raymond Saba
Roy Raymond Saba, 51, fell asleep in the lord on July 23, 2019 in Houston Texas. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon on August 23, 1967 to Raymond S. Saba and Rogette Deek Saba.
Roy came to Houston in 1987, enrolled in English classes, and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston. He started his own business, Five Star Limousine Service, and dedicated years of quality service to his clients, many of which became lifelong friends.
Roy was a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother. He was known for his happy nature, a smile that lit up
the room and his love for good food and spirits. Even in the face of adversity, as in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, he still found ways to see the bright side of things, even hosting a post Harvey Christmas party. He was definitely the ultimate host and the life of the party and always made everybody feel at home.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Wanda (Gifford); two sons, Chris and Alex; his mother, Rogette; two brothers, Simon & wife Chimene, Marwan & wife Rulla; sister, Marleine & husband Jacob Rihani; and 8 nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May God rest his soul and may his memory be eternal.
Services will be at St. George Orthodox Church (5311 Mercer St., Houston, TX 77005). Visitation and viewing will be Sunday evening, July 28 from 5 to 7 PM. A Trisagion will begin at 7 followed by reception. Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Monday, July 29, followed by procession to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery (12800 Westheimer) for interment.

We came to know Roy in 2005 when my neighbor introduced me to his service. From my very first trip back then and throughout probably 200 trips to and from the airport over the last 14 years, Roy was always personable, courteous and on time! It didn’t matter if he had to pick me up at 4am or wait while my plane was late into the early morning hours; he was there with a smile. Over the course of time, I came to know Roy. My family came to know him as he drove us to the airport for our annual family vacations. The Roy we knew was dedicated to his craft. He loved his family dearly and was so proud of his boys’ accomplishments. It is with great sadness we send our sincerest condolences to Wanda, Chris and Alex. Know that he will live on in the hearts of his friends and family. May his soul Rest in Peace.

I probably made about 20 trips with Roy in the past four years. He was always such a gentleman and interested in what I had to say. But most of all he was so proud of his wife and boys. I heard so many stories about them I always felt like I knew them.
So very sorry for your loss. May your memories bring you comfort.

Roy will be very sorely missed. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends. What a genuine great guy. He had been a driver for me and my family for over 10 years. We always joked that he was part of the family....the way he joked with my children and was always there with a smile for all of our vacation travel. He leaves a great legacy and will remain in our hearts!
