In Memory of
Timothy Dale Scott
-

Timothy Scott passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on November 7th, 2018. A devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and beloved “Papa”, he put his family above all else. He was born on August 13, 1958 in Odessa, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Scott, daughter Hayley Von Frank, son Derek Scott, granddaughter Evelyn Von Frank, and son-in-law Matthew Von Frank. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Scott, his father William Scott, sister Kristy Scott, and Father-in-Law Vincent Buonassisi.

Tim was larger than life in every sense of the phrase. In his earlier years, he was a record breaking, world class shotput and discus thrower at Texas A&M University and he competed internationally. He was an Aggie through and through, and cared a little too much when his teams weren’t doing their best. He was also a free agent for the New Orleans Saints in 1981 and in 1982 he claimed first place in weightlifting at SHC, making him the strongest man in Texas. Although his strength was obvious in his appearance, he was a big softie on the inside. A true gentleman and sentimental to the core, he had a presence that left an impact on everyone he met.

Tim worked for Nalco Champion Energy Services for 21 years. After working in sales and management domestically and internationally, he found his true calling coaching and mentoring others in his training and development role. His innate ability for storytelling, which made him perfect for his position, was one of the many things we loved about him. His avid love for golf both physically and virtually occupied many hours of his leisure time. He was the king of bad dad jokes which he always seemed to find hysterical. Apparently he had mastered an impeccable Sean Connery impression that even Scotsmen were fooled into believing, or so he claimed. There’s a big hole in our family and our hearts that will never be filled, but our memories and knowing he will be watching over us gives us comfort.

The funeral mass as well as a celebration of life following the service in the parish hall will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 10:00 a.m. at:
