Annie (Aunt Shortie to us) was my mother's best friend as a child and into the last days of her life. My mother, Aline is truly lost with out Aunt Shortie's daily calls and her dry humor. She was as mighty a warrior as my grandmother, her sister, Myrtle.

Shorty was special....what an understatement...She was a "Mom" to so many, like her niece Cookie....Charles, Carlos, and Mary...Shorty loved all of you. Many nights she would sit up at my house and talk to Cookie about her kids. Just so you know, Cookie loved her in a very special way...they were so much alike. Know this, there is someone waiting for Annie Greer. Know this also, we who are left behind will not soon forget Shorty. She will be missed....She is the last of "Grandma's" kids and lived longer than all of them....Mary, Charles, and Carlos....be thankful for the time you had your Mom, most people don't have their Mom until they are 96 years old....And to Shorty...Adios, old girl...good to have known you....with all our love,....Lionel and Debbie.
