AUSTIN ADAM KANUCH

OBITUARY

Austin Adam Kanuch, 39, passed away after he was attacked on September 22, 2023 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born in Houston on February 9, 1984, to Floyd Wayne Kanuch and Celene Louise Miller as the oldest of two boys.

Austin lived his whole life in Texas where he graduated from Langham Creek High School in Houston in 2002. He enjoyed all kinds of music, loved sports and was a member of the Langham Creek Choir. He sang with the Madrigal Choir also and received a Choir scholarship to Sam Houston State University. He attended college there and obtained a BA in Broadcasting & Journalism. Austin was an active member in TKE (Tau Kappa Epsilon) fraternity like his grandfather (Louis Denton).

He married Amy Kristin Kanuch 2008-2018 and had two beautiful daughters, Abigail, 14 and Amelia, 11. They lived in Spring, Texas and were divorced in 2018.

Austin then met and married the love of his life, Mary Paine Kanuch on March 7, 2020. They had one son, Pearce, 23 months. All five of them (Austin, Mary, Abigail, Amelia and Pearce) lived together in their home in Houston. He loved to BBQ, play golf and attend music concerts. Austin had a passion for cars and worked as Internet Sales Manager at West Houston Infiniti. He won many awards and loved his profession, but most of all Austin loved his family. He was a great provider, a loving husband and a dedicated father and son.

Austin is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his 3 children, Abigail, Amelia and Pearce, his father and stepmother, Floyd Wayne Kanuch and Anne Kanuch, his mother and stepfather, Celene and Harold Miller, his brother, Corbin Kanuch, step-brothers Travis Levy and Kris Levy. His mother-in-law and father-in-law Kevin and Katherine Johnson. His brother and sister-in-law Marilee and Richard, his two aunts and uncles, Cathie and Carey Starrett and Melissa and Steve Kenney along with all his cousins Brett Starrett, Bryce Starrett, Ryan Kenney, Sean Kenney, niece and nephews, Clarke, Kate, Collin and Casey.

Austin is also preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Carol Denton. They adored him.

To know Austin was to know a kind gentle man with a big heart. He lived his life large. He will be missed.

Mary, we have never met but Austin was my 2nd cousin. I followed y'all on Facebook. I could tell that you and Austin were very happy together. I know you are hurting right now and nothing anyone can say will help, but know you and the children are being prayed for by many. Praying for God to give you comfort and peace. We will not be able to attend the service but I do hope we get thechance to meet someday.
