Dave Hernandez, aged 54, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born in Houston, Texas, Dave brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew him.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Samaniego. Dave is survived by his father, Ignacio Hernandez, and his stepmother, Virginia Hernandez. He leaves behind his brothers, Yule Randolph and Ignacio Hernandez, Jr., and his sisters, Patricia Ann Alaniz and Lynn Miano. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews. Although Dave graduated from Jersey Village High School in Houston, Texas, in 1988, he spent most of his high school years at Alief Hastings High School. He pursued a career in hospitality, where he was known for his exceptional dedication and service.
A memorial service celebrating Dave’s life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 17th of July, at Beresford Funeral Service, 13501 Alief Clodine Rd., Houston, TX 77082 and internment at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Tx 77077.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and share remembrances during a reception at a venue to be announced during the service.
In lieu of customary remembrances, donations in honor of Dave may be directed to the Houston SPCA, reflecting Dave’s love for animals, at 7007 Old Katy Rd., Houston, TX, 77024.
